I like to plan out my family's meals once a week. However, I plan on freezing many meals ahead of time when the baby comes, which is what Once a Month Cooking (OAMC) is all about.
If you've ever thought about trying OAMC, this is the perfect time to do so. You don't have to freeze an entire month's worth of meals at first, just start with a few meals a week and work your way up from there. Even if you can only fit in a week's worth of meals in your little freezer, it makes a big difference.
A full introduction to OAMC cooking, including tips on what freezes well and what doesn't will help you when you're starting out. It's also important to become familiar with the different types of packaging that works well with freezer meals, which the above article explains.
