Eating From the Pantry and Freezer Cooking

This week, our menu is based off of what we have in the pantry. I am truly going to try and spend no more than $13 at the grocery this week to keep us on budget for food and groceries! A great resource I use to help plan meals from the pantry is supercook.com. You can enter the ingredients you have on hand and a list of possible recipes will pop up! I love it!

In order to make this successful, I am having another mini-freezer cooking day! My plan is to make the following...

I may or may not add to this list, but these are the top items I need to make. I will post an update on how it goes!

You will LOVE the whole chicken in the crock pot. It's so easy. I even put mine in completely frozen and it cooks through in about 6-7 hours on high. Have you tried making chicken stock with the leftover bones? I just found your site through #oamc on twitter. Grocery Cart Challenge.blogspot.com has a great tutorial about the chicken stock. I've been doing this since it's so easy!

Candi- Do you put any water in with the chicken? I didn't know you could put a frozen one in there! How easy!
